2018 Reading Truck Group Steel Stake Bodies

Versatile and tough, our steel stake body offers a large open platform and steel stake racks for secure hauling of equipment and materials. It features A60 coating-weight steel finished with our exclusive E-coat primer and powder coat system for a durable finish.

Reading offers a variety of rack sets including steel stakes, low-profile contractor sides and Redi Racks, which are ideal for hauling bulk materials and pallets. Quick-release latches allow fast removal of individual racks for easy loading and unloading of materials. An optional scissor hoist is available.

Readings steel stake body is available in lengths from 10' to 26' with a 96"-wide body.

Features may include:

• Acrylic E-Coat priming and corrosion protection system ensures full-body primer coverage on all steel body components to resist impact, cuts and gouges.

• Pockets extend from the top to the bottom of the platform rail and are designed to hold optional stakes or body sides firmly in place with minimum rattling. They are reinforced with a heavy-gauge steel box and welded into the side rail.

• A60 two-sided galvannealed construction with roll-formed rails featuring precision pre-punched pocket holes. The platform edges meet at 90 corners.

• A durable, high-gloss polyester powder coat that is electrically bonded to surfaces and melted to form a durable, corrosion-resistant finish. Produces a brighter finish that resists corrosion, chemicals, humidity, scratches, chips and UV damage.

• Spring-loaded latch secures racks to stake pockets and to adjoining racks. Makes fast work of removing racks: just trip the latch and lift.

• Black powder coated, galvannealed steel posts and slats, rear swing gates with heavy-duty bolt-on hinge assemblies.

• Recessed lights have impact-resistant, reflective lenses and rubber grommets. They include wiring harnesses for clearance and marker and identification lights.

• A60 galvannealed steel bulkhead with laser cutout window

• 16-gauge A60 galvannealed roll-formed steel stake rack system with lift-out design. Features roll-formed horizontal slats 6-1/8" wide welded to 14-gauge galvannealed steel posts and galvannealed stake rack post retainers. Features Triple Protection system with E-coat priming and black powder coat finish.

• Rugged steel girder understructure. Two full-length structural steel longitudinal sills reinforced front to rear on both sides by multiple steel gussets. Longitudinal sills and full-width heavy gauge crossmembers are interlocked and welded to the one-piece steel side and end rails. Protected by E-Coat primer and black powder coat finish.
